Provenance and Acquisition

An erased inscription is on fol. 24v.

Dr. T. James's Ecloga (1600) shows that the label on the inner back 'vol. 75', altered to 24, indicates (sir) Walter Cope's library, but this volume seems not to have come with his other gifts in 1602, but in 1603 or 1604.
