Blue initials flourished in red, gold initials flourished in violet; marginal chapter-numbers with paraphs in the same alternating combinations.

Origin: s. xv ; Continental

Provenance and Acquisition

Two taken from ‘78. i. 19’ (Hilarius, Paris 1544), the other two from ‘46. a. 2’ (Basil in Greek, Basel 1532). Two more consecutive leaves, taken from Merton Coll. ‘80. i. 11’ (old pressmark, older D. 3. 12), are in Bodl. Libr., MS Lat. misc. b. 18, nos B. 39–40. Another two belonged to the late Keith Humphreys. The books belonged to the College in 1556.
