Provenance and Acquisition

Bound in 40. j. 12 (Ptolemy, Basel 1541).

Six leaves in All Souls Coll., MS 330, nos. 41–6, taken from ‘SR. 48. f. 3’ (J. Manardus, Basel 1540), and ‘SR. 48. f. 2’ (Vesalius, Basel 1543), two each in Brasenose Coll., UB. S. II. 50 (Aristotle, Paris 1511), and UB. S. I. 25 (Octaplus psalterii, Geneva 1516), and perhaps two in New Coll., MS 364, nos 42–3, taken from ‘Y. 8. 9’ (J. Manardus, Basel 1540), four in Bristol Central Libr. (Gregory, Paris 1542), and twenty-eight in Colchester, Harsnett Libr., K. h. 10–18 (Augustine, 9 vols, Basel 1543). Another leaf was owned in 1965 by Mr R. P. N. Inman, Romiley House, Oakworthy, Keighley, Yorks.
