Provenance and Acquisition

The Libri Sale Catalogue states that this volume belonged to the Venetian poet and scholar, Apostolo Zeno, and 'has his bookplate', but all traces of this ownership have disappeared

Purchased by the Bodleian at Sotheby's on 2 April 1859 from the collection of Guillaume Libri. No. 787 in the sale catalogue
