Support: Vellum.
Extent: Two fragments, one from the middle of a leaf (no. 34), the other a strip from the top of a bifolium.
Dimensions (leaf): 58 × 160–5 mm.

Layout

In 12+ and 6+ surviving long lines. No prickings; bounded and ruled in lead.

Hand(s)

Written in anglicana with a strong secretary duct (but not letter forms), s. xv med.

Decoration

A 2-line blue lombard on red flourishing.

Running title or heading in text ink prefaced by a red paraph; the text divided by alternate red and blue paraphs.

History

Origin: s. xv med.

MS 235 is a collection of binding fragments removed from College books (medieval portions only). This entry is for fragments 34 and 50 only.
