Layout

In double columns, each column 217 × 65–70 mm. , with 10 mm between columns, in 46 lines to the column. Prickings in the gutter on both bifolia; bounded and ruled in lead.

Hand(s)

Written in protogothic bookhand, s. xii3/4.

Decoration

Blanks for headings unfilled, as are 2-line spaces left for decorative capitals.

Running titles in a later hand give the ‘causa’.

History

Origin: s. xii3/4

Provenance and Acquisition

Many marginal finding notes of hands of s. xiii in., s. xiv in., and s. xv.

MS 235 is a collection of binding fragments removed from College books (medieval portions only). This entry is for fragment 98 only.
