Layout

In double columns, each column 190–2 × 49 mm. , with 11 mm between columns, in 46 lines to the column. Prickings in the gutter; bounded and ruled in brown ink.

Hand(s)

Written in gothic textura semiquadrata, s. xiii ex., probably English.

Decoration

Scattered headings in red on no. 108.

At the head of chapters, 2-line alternate red and blue lombards, with a touch of outline in the other colour.

At the head of the text itself 1-line lombards in the contrasting colour.

On no. 108, running titles in alternate red and blue lombards, ‘liber III.’

MS 235 is a collection of binding fragments removed from College books (medieval portions only). This entry is for fragments 107 and 108 only.
