Fol. i: ‘Distinctiones fratris S. de Boraston’ usque ad literam .d. per J. abbatem sancti Edmundi [written later:] set perficiebantur usque in finem per fratrem Willelmum Barwe huius monasterii sacristani’. Fols. 1–41v line 9 written under John Brinkley, abbot 1361–78, or John Tymworth, abbot 1379–89. William Barrow was sacrist 1407–26.

The first part of the inscription on fol. i and the Bury St Edmunds pressmark ‘.B.46’ are in the hand of Henry de Kirkstead, who probably died shortly after 1378.

Acquired between 1613 and 1620 (Summary Catalogue I p. 102).
