Provenance and Acquisition

'Iste liber constat domino Ricardo Wydeuille Comiti le [sic] Ryviers et dominus de Wymyngton' in com. Bedfordiensi': this was probably the first earl, who died in 1469, and who presumably bought Wymington after 1466. The Woodville or Wydville arms (argent a fess and quarter gules) are with the inscription, on fol. iiiv
