A subject index to the Bible in the form of examples or precepts illustrating chiefly moral qualities

The arrangement is: first, an alphabetical division according to the names of the subjects illustrated; secondly, the examples, etc. are arranged under each subject in the order in which they occur in the Bible

Each paragraph throughout the work is marked at the side with 'A,' 'B,' etc. to 'Z,' the first alphabet having 'littera 1' at the top of the pages, the second alphabet having 'littera 2,' and so on to 'littera 55'

The alphabetical index of subjects (fol. 120v) is therefore able to use references such as '11 E' and '25 T'
