With three prologues, of Philippus Tripolitanus to Guido Vere de Valentia, bp. of Tripoli (fol. 1, cf. 37: beg. 'Domino suo excellentissimo'): '... Doctoris in commendacione' (fol. 3: beg. 'Deus omnipotens custodiat'): '... Jo(hannis) qui transtulit librum' i.e. Johannes ibn el-Bitriq. (fol. 4v: beg. 'Johannes qui transtulit istum librum filius Patricii'). The text beg. 'De epistola missa ad regem Alexandrum. O fili gloriosissime'.
On the blank leaves before and after the treatise are written some proverbs in Latin verse and medical recipes, some considerably later, chiefly in an Italian hand.
