Provenance and Acquisition

Worcester, Worcestershire, Benedictine cathedral priory of St Mary the Virgin: John Lawerne, monk of Worcester, D. at Gloucester College, Oxford, Elemosinarius at Worcester 1448 and 1455. (fol. 38v) Versus: "... in circuitu ... tumbe m. Th. Ledbury prioris quondam huius loci" (sc. Worcester 1438–44) (MLGB3: evidence from an inscription of ownership by an individual member of a religious house (which may not, however, be evidence for institutional ownership)).

Acquired between 1605 and 1611. (MLGB3)

Entries cover the years c. 1442-c. 1449 while the writer was a student monk at Gloucester College, Oxford.
