18th century?, Italian: pasteboards?; grainy, dark brown leather, blind-tooled with a single line round edges of each cover and a floral tool at each corner (possibly also in spine-panels, but if so very faint); no clasps; edges stained red, for this binding. 101 × 75–76 × c. 30 mm. (book closed).
