Good miniatures, borders, historiated and other initials. (Pächt and Alexander ii. 196, pl. XVIII)

Coloured initials and, on the titlepage (fol. 6) and the beginning of the canon (fol. 106), coloured borders; on fol. 105 a full-page crucifixion.

Provenance and Acquisition

Ex libris of the Teutonic Knights, St Mary Magdalen, Padua, late 15th cent., fol. 1: 'Hoc missale est monasterij sancte Marie Magdalene de Padua'; apparently not made for use there (calendar has been adapted).
