Binding

15th century, Italian (as MS.): wood boards, cut flush with textblock; dark brown leather, blind-tooled with triple lines and strapwork, spine plain; traces of two fore-edge clasps with thick brown leather straps and trefoil-shaped catch-plates, all lost; edges plain. Later damage to spine and to leather of front cover. 213–214 × 143–145 × c. 15 mm. (book closed).
