Binding

15th century, third quarter, Italian (as MS.): wood boards with inside bevel; reddish-brown leather, blind-tooled with multiple lines, stamps (one with a human face) and strapwork; traces of four clasps with lost brown-leather straps. Crudely rebacked in parchment, 18th century, Italian, with underlying (later?) canvas strengthener. 324–329 × 220 × c. 73–80 mm. (book closed).
