Provenance and Acquisition

Colchester, Essex, Benedictine abbey of St John the Baptist (?) : A copy of a tabula hanging in the abbey church and written in 1526. The copy appears to be pre-dissolution. Headed exemplar. "Hic incipit tabule siue temporum fasciculi in Monasterii Colcestr' sacra ede pendentis". The latest dates are at the end of 14th century.
