Provenance and Acquisition

Exeter, Devon, Cathedral church of St Peter: this MS. was certainly in Exeter cathedral library in 1327 and 1506 (see the inventories of those dates printed by Oliver)

Though not in the Benefactors' Register, it was no doubt given by the dean and chapter of Exeter in 1602, since it was in the Library by the end of that year. (MLGB3: inferred evidence).

The outer margins much injured at beginning and end, and the text in some cases also slightly defective. In twelve books, with lists of chapters: here without original general title or author's name. Rubrics are usually in rustic capitals, and in the same hand at the end are the following verses:
