Two unrelated fragments framed together, the upper fragment (1) is from a letter from Julius Apollinaris to his father Heracles from the first xcentury AD, the lower fragment (2) is from a letter from Chaeremon to his father Heraclides from the 1st/2nd century AD.

Provenance and Acquisition
Acquired by David George Hogarth probably in Luxor and given to the Bodleian Lbrary as part of a lot comprising items in MS. Gr. class. e. 130 (P)-MS Gr. class. d. 143 (P) by his son William D. Upper part of a papyrus sheet with 4 lines preserved, written along the fibres. An upper margin survives to a height of 4.2 cm, and a left-hand margin to a width of 3.2 cm; the right-hand margin is mostly lost. The surviving part of the back of the papyrus is blank.

Upper part of a papyrus sheet with 6 lines preserved, written along the fibres, with a further 4 written perpendicularly on the right side. A truncated address and sender is preserved on the back. A kollesis runs vertically down the middle of the papyrus.
