Binding

Half-leather binding over wooden boards, ruled and stamped in blind, fifteenth century. Contemporary contents label and pressmarks ‘C .49.’, ‘C xlix’. Clasp lost. Stamps probably of the bindery of St Peter's, Erfurt (w002367), including 'vierblatt' (s015813), rosette (s015819), lion (s015828)

Traces of an earlier binding on the lower pastedown.
