Origin: English ; 15th century

Provenance and Acquisition

The abbey of Bury St. Edmunds: 'Eadmundo sancto pertinet iste liber et Dompno Iohanni Wulf(?)spett' (fol. 196v, cf. 198r), and 'Liber dompni Iohannis Bardwell monachi sancti Edmundi' (fol. 197v), both 15th century.

Bookplate of 'THOMAS WILLIAM COKE'; inscribed with notes by his friend 'W.[illiam] R.[oscoe]' (fol. ii recto-verso); seen and described by M. R. James by 1921; formerly Norfolk, Holkham Hall, MS. 469.
