White and brown initials on blue and gold grounds at beginning of books, fol. 109ff; the rest red with mauve and blue with red penwork.


Polished and diced brown leather over pasteboards, the upper cover stamped in gilt with the Coke crest; the spine lettered in gilt 'MICHÆLIS | DE | BONONIA | SENTENTIÆ | ET | DIVISIONES' and 'MS | SEC. XIV', and with the number '161' at the bottom.


Origin: Italian, Bologna (?); early 15th century, in part c. 1414

Provenance and Acquisition

The erasures at the end of the works probably covered the date and place of writing; those on fols. 140v and 153v include the date 1414.
