Decoration

Pächt and Alexander ii. 329, pl. XXX:

Fine miniatures (mostly wash drawings). In the style of the school of Botticelli. Miniatures depicting a Castel sant'Angelo, Rome (fol. 63r), an elephant (fol. 72v), a giraffe (fol. 73r), classical capitals, arcades and other classical remains and sculptures and inscriptions seen in Rome (fols. 132v-153r, 161v)

Binding

Bound in plain parchment over thin pasteboards; the spine inscribed 'Noti|zie | Belle | e | nece[...] | [...] | Anti[qu?..] | di | Roma'; the brown leather case lettered in gilt on the spine 'COLLECTANEA | EPIGRAPHICA | SAECULI XV.'
