Provenance and Acquisition
Christ Church, Canterbury: fol. iii at top: 'Crisostimus super Matheum operis imperfecti Magistri Johannis Kynton' monachi Ecclesie x' Cant'. The last four words, leg. by u.v. light, are perhaps in a different hand from the preceding three. 2o fo. precepit. M. Joh. Kynton became a monk in 1408 and died in 141(?6): v. Searle pp. 7 & 185 (MLGB3: evidence from an inscription of ownership by an individual member of a religious house (which may not, however, be evidence for institutional ownership)
