Provenance and Acquisition

Durham, Benedictine cathedral priory of St Cuthbert: "Liber sancti Cuthberti de Dunelmo", s. xii/xiii, at head of fol. 1r; "Cuthberti de Dunelmo" later erased (but sufficient traces remain) and a Finchal inscription substituted (below). Letter mark "A". (MLGB3: evidence from an ex-libris inscription or note of gift to an institution).

Finchale, Durham, Benedictine priory of St John the Baptist and St Godric; cell of Durham: "Liber sancti Iohannis et sancti Godrici de ffynkall" over erasure, top of fol. 1r, s. xv.(MLGB3: evidence from an ex-libris inscription or note of gift to an institution).
