The obverse (pp. 1-20) describes the history of Black Town or Tilantongo (Ñuu Tnoo) in the Mixteca Alta (Oaxaca, Mexico).

The reverse (pp. 21-40; narrative beginning on p. 40) focusses on the dynastic history of Tlaxiaco (Ndisi Nuu) and Achiutla.
