Provenance and Acquisition

Fols. 19–65: Mr. Thomas Heddon, vicar of Gainford, before 1515.

Bequeathed (presumably) by him to Staindrop College and delivered in 1515: ‘Orate pro anima Magistri Thome Heddon' nuper vicarii de gaynforde. qui dedit hunc librum collegio de Staindroppe cuius anime propicietur deus. Deliberatus per me dominum Iohannem Smyth de Bernardo de castel. In die sancti Cedde. secundo die marcii. Anno domini 1515.’ (fol. 65v).
