Waltham, Essex, Augustinian abbey of Holy Cross: Waltham pressmark, 'xliiii. al. Ca.', on front pastedown. Medieval binding with note of contents outside of front (s. xvi) and back jacket (s. xiv). Also on boack board is 'Will' Lond' epc.' (s. xiv). Binding of white skin over boards with loosely sewed white skin jacket. Over it on back strip of former in capitals 'EPISTOLE CLEMENTIS AD PROBUM ET PASTORAL' GREGORII'. (MLGB3: inferred evidence).
