Provenance and Acquisition

Battle, Sussex, Benedictine abbey of St Martin: election of abbots of Battle entered in annals. Continuation of the Brut on the Barons' War was written by a monk of Battle. (MLGB3: evidence from locally specific contents, including obits, scribbles, etc.).

Canterbury, Kent, Benedictine abbey of St Augustine, by the 15th century: catalogue, BA1.896 (second folio matches); fol. 1* (a cut-down flyleaf) has a note in the hand of the St Augustine's monk Clement Canterbury (MLGB3).
