School of the Master of Jouvenel des Oursins. (Pächt and Alexander i. 716) Half-page miniatures, illuminated initials and borders at the beginning of the main parts of the original book and of the Hours of the Lady office.

Provenance and Acquisition

On fol.147 ‘maitre Jaques dep solempnes maistre en theologie’ is mentioned.

In the binding (fol. 151v) are French notes of the children of mr. Pellier, born 1464-8.

Apparently bound for 'P[ierre] Menard' of Tours and 'S. Crassot' (17th cent.), see above.

Richard Rawlinson, 1690–1755 (?)

Referenced in the Rawlinson collection about 1888 but lacking direct evidence of belonging to the collection.
