Provenance and Acquisition

Worcester, Worcestershire, Benedictine cathedral priory of St Mary the Virgin (?) : Papal letter to Roger, bp. of Worcester (s. xii) added on the originally blank recto of the first leaf (fol. 1r). Fol. 1v has the note ":9 et est liber dialogorum Gregorii [pape] 2 o fo. in monasterio et con prec xiii s viii d" (s. xiv). Letter and book list on fol. 190r printed by Bannister in EHR 3,2 (1917), p. 387. (MLGB3: evidence from locally specific contents, including obits, scribbles, etc.).

Given to Tanner by Hugh Lloyd, Vicar of Mold, in 1735. (MLGB3)
