Provenance and Acquisition

Oseney Abbey. Passed after its dissolution to:

Christ Church, Oxford

One of the Christ Church muniments obtained by Anthony à Wood (The life and times of Anthony Wood, antiquary, of Oxford 1623-1695, ed. A. Clark, II (1891) 113-14).

Wood, who died on 29 November 1695, left his manuscripts and printed books to the Ashmolean. The entire collection was transferred to the Bodleian in 1860.
