The final entry (fol. 186) is dated ‘... in dominica ramis palmarum Anno regni regis henrici sexti post conquestum Anglie vicesimo tercio [1 Sept. 1444 to 31 Aug. 1445]'.

At the bottom of fol. 1, from which a miniature and a coat of arms have been cut, are (a) a merchant's mark; (b) the arms of Brokesby: barry nebuly of six, or and gules, on a canton of the second a mullet pierced or (See Nicholl's Leicestershire, iii. 969)

Signature of 'Thomas Brokesbye' on fol. 187 (s.xv/xvi)
