London, Hospital of St Mary the Virgin, within Cripplegate (Elsing Spital): "Iste liber datur Hospitali beate Marie de Elsyng London' ad orandum pro animabus Thome Dye et Alicie uxoris eius parentum Iohannis reclusi canonici . . ." (s. xv), and anathema, at foot of fol. 13r, s. xv. On fol. 1r is a contents-list added by a former owner, s. xii ex.: 'In hoc uolumine continentur. Vita sancte marie magdalene/ liber ambrosii de penitencia. Ieronimus de filio prodigo/ Isidorus de libro ad sororem suam directo. Cronica Isidori/ Pontifices romani. de figura pasche.' (MLGB3: evidence from an ex-libris inscription or note of gift to an institution).
