Decoration

Rubrication: titles, headings and initials in vermilion and carmine.

Binding

Binding of blind-stamped brown leather over wood, late Byzantine style, 15th–16th cent.; five metal ornaments on each panel, remains of clasps. A piece of paper on the spine has the no. ‘137’ twice and ‘Plutarchi Vitae / Arriani de exped. Alex.’.
