• Traditionally identified, but probably wrongly, with Petrus Hispanus the writer on logic (q.v.), and with Petrus Juliani, the future Pope John XXI, and probably to be distinguished from ‘magister Petrus Hispanus medicus’ active in Siena c. 1245–50.
